Just Mack

Hu-mom on the key board this morning, Minnie is napping.

Lately it seems that Mack has been absent in a lot of the pictures.  He's such a laid back pug, happy to sit on the back of the couch and ponder life....mainly getting himself off the couch to eat and go outside.  It's been incredibly hot here, near 100 for the last 3-4 days.  Today is only going to get 88, so much better pug weather!
I also got a new camera for my birthday. My old Canon was shooting rather dark pictures and I couldn't get it to work properly.  It served us well for many years.  Anyway, I wanted a lighter camera, a Panasonic  DMC ZS19, easier to tote around and purse size.
It's a great camera for me and I love it.
So yesterday, I shot a few of just Mack! Mack's eyes always look so goofy in pictures.  Maybe it's a pug thing.....
Here he is just after having his dinner carrying around what is left of almost completely unstuffed Green Square Sheep.  This is the only toy he touches and he only does this after dinner.  He carries it around for a while, sometimes will whine.  When we try to play, he just drops it.  Just one of the weird pug things I guess!

Mack is 9 1/2 and his old age is starting to really show.  At the dog park he is so funny.  He barks if things get to rough or too loud. And every now and then he plays and  kind of half gets into a game of chase. He has even gotten into it a few times with foster Mario.  There must be a little puppy left in him after all!
I call him my silver faced baby.
We do love our seniors!!!!!!!!!!!

A few of you asked where Mack was during the eating frenzy that got Mario and Minnie into trouble....he was napping next to me the entire time!  Such a good, sweet boy.

We're having guests this coming week, then comes the 4th of July.  I'm having double knee surgery July 6, so I'm not sure how often I'll be posting. Surgery is new territory for me, but I hope it won't slow me down!  Maybe during my down time I'll learn how to edit pictures!
Happy Summer

We wish you well on your knee surgeries hope you recover quickly. Mack is such a sweetie pie. He barks like Tuni does when things get start to get rowdy too. Maybe they are grumpy old pugs saying keep it down I'm trying to nap :) We call Tuni the fun police.

Mr. Bailey does the same thing! He has one favorite toy we call the purple man. He will take it up on the couch and lick it. Once in a while he will press it up against my leg like he wants to play but he only plays for a minute then hops up on the couch with it.
Hope your surgery goes well

Sheesh, good luck with your new surgery. 9 1/2 is nothing, Tubs is 11 and still plays at the park, but he does love to bark. I think Mack looks great though, senior pugs are the best

Sending you juju for speedy knee surgery recovery.

We know all about senior pugs. Winston is now 10 1/2 and has slowed down a lot. He still likes to play a good stuffy toy but like Mac he barks and gets worked up when the younger ones get playful. We luv the silver faced senior pugs.

Looking handsome Mac!
