Sleep Over and Vet Visit

Yesterday afternoon Hu-mom left us at home.  She was gone a while and when she got back, guess what???  Look what she brought home!!!!!!!
It's Oscar, the foster pug.  He is staying with Michelle until he finds his forever home but Oscar needed to go to the vet to get his dental cleaning and to be brought up to date with his vaccines.
Since Mario is also going to the vet for the same thing, Oscar got to spend the night with us.
Fosters don't get to use the vet close to our house.  The foster's vet is about 30 miles from my house and twice as far for Oscar.  So to make things easy, Oscar spent the night with us.  He is such a sweet puggie.  He's big and furry, almost looks like a lion because he is so furry around his face.  Hu-mom spent so time brushing him out.  She said she had enough fur to make a few puppies, LOL.
Oscar

Well, this morning, we didn't get fed and the water bowls were up.  We were super excited for our breakfast, as usual, and VERY upset when it wasn't served.  Hu-mom then explained that since Mario and Oscar can't eat or drink  until after their dental work, she thought we would be sympathetic and wouldn't want to eat either!  Well, she was wrong.....then she told Mack and me that when she leaves at 7:20AM with Mario and Oscar, then hu-dad will feed us.  Boy, I was scared.  That was such good news!

Mario

Anyway, lets make sure Oscar and Mario  have juju sent their way while they undergo their dental sleep!

Have a great week,
Minnie : )

Update on Mario from hu-mom:

It's a good thing  I had his mouth checked today.  His teeth don't really need cleaning, but he had two broken upper big teeth (molars) near the back. The vet said they have been broken for some time.
They both need to come out. When the vet looked at the right side, she said "ewwww".  It was ugly.  No wonder he was having such bad breath!  I can't imagine he wasn't having any pain/discomfort from it. He never showed any signs and he had gained 2 lbs! Poor little Mario. Soon he will be much better!
I just want to thank Mid Atlantic Pug Rescue, for letting us take such good care of their foster doggies!   The vet did give MAPR a good discount for Mario's dental surgery.
I will pick up Mario and Oscar this afternoon!  Can't wait to get Mario home for some loving.

Foster pugs! What a great idea! We've had several fosters, but so far, no pugs. :)

Mario, your mouth is going to feel so much better! And with sweet breath, the humans will ask for kisses.
I hope Oscar's dental went without issue.

I know all about it... My teeth got removed (some were already broken and hanging in my mouth). The pain an disconfort became normal, but boy... once these bad ones are gone... it made huge difference. Hope they get loving furever home soon. They deserve that at least !!

I'm glad they were both alright, even if the slumber party did end with a delayed breakfast!
