In our back garden, we planted pink Gerber daisies in memory of Payton the pug. They are thriving and growing! The colors are so sweet and yet pale. We love to look at them and remember our friend!

We also have other beautiful flowers blooming. Below is an Orange Kordana Miniature Tree Rose. It just blooms and blooms. The bees love all the flowers and the doggies are very interested in the bees.

We also have some petunias hanging.
Mario is checking out the Geraniums. (Yes, Mario is still with us. It seems that cute Puggle puppies are now coming into foster care in droves. They grow up to be very energetic doggies!) He is such a sweet and loving, energetic puggle and hope that his forever family find him soon.
We also planted 50 Grecian Windflower bulbs and are waiting for them to come up. We've had lots of rain and cooler weather but know that warm/hot/humid weather is just around the corner.

My human Hsin-Yi love this post because although she loves flowers – she's the most hopeless gardener and she never knows the names of anything – so it was so nice for her to have names matched up to the pictures! :-) otherwise she is always having to describe them to people by saying things like "I like those purple flowers that are sort of shaped like a trumpet…" – And nobody knows what she's talking about! :-)
It's very sad about all the unwanted Puggles – it seems to be happening here Down Under as well because we started to see quite a few of them and Hsin-Yi has met quite a lot of people who tell her that they want a Puggle because they think that Puggles are perfect – it's the usual thing where they assumed that combining to breed would bring out the best in each breed and create a dog with no problems but of course, with genetics, you can never guarantee what the puppies will inherit – and it's not true that a hybrid breed will always be a perfect dog! All different dogs are perfect in their own way but they also all have their own needs and issues. I think people often think that they can just mix and match and use money to buy "perfection" – and it's the poor doggies who always suffer!

WOW! I really love the pink flowers for Payton, I miss her very much and love that everyone has planted pink flowers for her, Mum has got some pink flowers to plant for her too! All your flowers are so beautiful, your garden must look so wonderful! I love the photo of Mario with the Geraniums, he is so handsome, he has the most expressive and cute face! I just can not belive that Puggle Puppies are coming to foster care, Mum said that hearing that is so very sad and that she would have a house full of them! In the Pug Rescue here, puggles are popping up left and right too like crazy! And in the shelters...some aren't making it out! Who could get rid of a puggle?! :(
