Can Anyone Explain This Behavior?????

Hu-mom here:  Can someone explain why Mack carries his favorite green stuffie around every night after eating his dinner?  I followed him around with the Flip camera, so take a look and then let me know what your think!

We've tried to play tug-o-war or just play.  All he does he run around the house with it in his mouth.  After a while, he drops it and gets on with life. He avoids Minnie and the kitties. Maybe someone out there has a good explanation!

Minnie sends her love to all her Blogville friends!!!

Not sure but he is so cute! Tuni licks the top of her paws after eating but no stuffie carrying.

Hugs to Minnie and Mack,

Must be his comfort toy. Some dogs have stuffies they treat as puppies. Cooper has a toy he suckles on when he's nervous.

Hi! We just started our own blog recently, and we've been trying to meet other bloggy pets. We think maybe Mack thinks the stuffie is his puppy! Or... his girlfriend???

How cute! Salinger and his PugMom both do the SAME thing with their favorite stuffies too! Salinger doesn't walk around with his, he just holds it in his mouth and will flop down on his tummy and just stare into space with it in his mouth! We call it "Puggy OCD"!

Mack is SO SO SO CUTE!!!! Give him a kiss on his adorable snooter for me!

Love,
Laura (Salinger's Mom)

Howdy, no clue why he does this, but it sure is cute. From his long lost removed cousins Daisy and Ginger in Apopka Florida (mama Kim)

He's darned cute doing it! I think some dogs just get into a routine with things and have to stick with it. Lilac has to pick up a toy and carry it to the back door every day before we go outside for turn out. She knows I'm going to take it away and not let her take it out, but it's been seven or so years now with no sign of it stopping!

How cute! CindyLu does that whenever anyone enters the house - grabs her stuffie, or anything nearby for that matter, and won't let go either. Hard to figure why they do these things!

I'm not sure why he does it, but it's hilarious! He can barely see over his stuffie :)

Hahaha, that is so cute! Maybe he's just excited to have a full belly. :) Does he grab that stuffie when he's excited, like when you come home? Or maybe he's proud of himself, and just strutting his stuff like a big boy. Klaus has a favorite toy like that. He'll hold it in his mouth and bring it to me at the front door sometimes, or bring it to me on the couch. He grabs it and brings it to our bedroom every night when it's bedtime (he looooooves bedtime!) Sometimes he'll play with it, but usually it's just something he does when he's excited. :) It's always the same toy. Quirky puggies!

Goodness is that cute!!

Josie use to do the same thing and even fall asleep with it in her mouth.
She would grab the biggest stuffed animals and end up running into things..
I would try to take it away and she would growl.
She was a rescue and my mom had suggested that maybe Josie thought it was her puppy.
(That was when she was younger)

Anakin does that sometimes, but only when he goes outside. He feels the need to bring one out with him.
He gets playful/excited
It's so cute to watch their behavors and wonder what they are doing~

The video was too funny!!!

Not sure why, but what an adorable video. My gentleman pugs tend to suckle on their stuffies more in the evening. Smokey will carry his around a bit.

Loved seeing the pug toys through-out.....LOL. I am not alone!

Interesting. I don't have any clues for you. When we start preparing the dogs' dinner here, Zoe always grabs a toy and roughs it up pretty good, until dinner is served. I've wondered if she thinks she is "attacking" her dinner. At any rate, Mack is one cute boy!

We came over from Saturday Blog Hop.

Santa (the miniature schnauzer) does that too each time she finished her meals. Just like Mack, Santa will pick that same stuffie and run around the house. We thought it was some kind of a dance of joy that she has finished her meal and that she is contented.

Very cute!! Actually, Bruschi does the same thing after he eats if he's eaten too fast so I have to assume he has an upset tummy. He carries it around for a few minutes, then plops down in his bed with it. It's entertaining though!
