|Not Minnie or Mack but a cute pug!|
At Cooper Casa, we celebrated in the usual manner--going to bed early (all the doggies were asleep by 7PM)~ Today we are celebrating the New Year the way puggles/pug do best:
Like last year, we are amiss in coming up with some resolutions for 2012. If we can think of any for 2012, we'll let you know!!! Why would one want to change a pug/puggle?? Aren't we just fine the way we are?
Miss Daisy update:
Miss Daisy has been coughing some today since her arrival on Friday but really doesn't cough much. It really seems like the cough Minnie had when she was diagnosed with Kennel Cough a few years ago. She came with medication that only says "cough tablets" which we are following the instructions and giving to her as prescribed along with the other 2 meds that came with her. She hadn't coughed before but "they" said she had been coughing. We are not sure if "they" are the folks at the pound or the surrendering folks. We are keeping our fingers crossed that she has no bad underlying health problems. She also gets out of breath easily and does the pug pant. "They" said she did not have kennel cough. We hope that stress is playing a big part and as she gets acclimated to us and our home things will keep improving! For possibly being 10 years old, she has more energy than Mack and Minnie combined! Hu-mom knows that like kids, doggies LOVE a schedule and keeping it. And being kind of OCD, hu-mom has NO trouble with keeping the schedule and Daisy has adapted to it well.
Hu-mom is getting better at the doggie pantie/diaper thing and getting them on Daisy, who does NOT like to stand still! It's not anything like diapering a baby. Hu-mom is wowed that someone got so smart (and is probably making $$$$) and invented doggie diapers/panties. The ones we purchased for Daisy have cute designs on them and other than the flap for the tail, are exactly like Pampers!! and of course the price is higher! But they are a god send.
Daisy has her vet check up appointment tomorrow afternoon. We're keeping our paws crossed that all goes well and a spay date can be set!
Mack, foster sister Miss Daisy, all the kitties, the humans and I wish all of our Blogville Friends and family a most wonderful, happy, healthy 2012!
