Oh Minnie, Minnie, Minnie!!!!!

The humans are getting ready to go out of town for 9 days soon.  Hu-mom measures out food for us doggies and the kitties and puts them into baggies along with our instructions.  I don't know why she does this, Ellen has been taking care of us for years...all Ellen needs to do is open up our food bins and scoop a bunch into our bowls! Measuring is not necessary.....anyway, hu-mom has always put the food for us and all of Grandmothers medications and instructions on the dining room table.  Easy access for Ellen for us and for Grandmother's 24 hour caretaker.  So, yesterday, hu-mom started getting everything ready and put it in the usual place.
See Below:

Kitty food in the big round bowl.  The row of baggies on the left for me and the row of baggies on the right for Mack with instructions near by.  Grandmother's stuff on the right.  (The notebook in the front is what hu-mom calls the Cooper Household Book.  It has everyone's name, cell phone numbers, all the important stuff that Grandmother's caretaker would need while they are away.  Grandmother has over 20 medications she takes each day, so hu-mom leaves lots of instructions about her. She even included pictures of us with our names so the caretaker can tell who is who!  Grandmother doesn't have the same caretaker each time they go away....but Ellen always takes care of us.)

And the story continues:

Last night, I (Minnie) smelled something very, very good near by.  The Beagle in me ID'd it fast.  It was cat food in baggies and it was VERY close to the edge of the table!! Woo Wee!  I was in luck.  The picture above is what hu-mom found.  Then she looked on the floor and saw this:

Oops, I left some evidence behind. There was some yelling happening shortly after she found it.  Since I was near by and my tail was down, she knew IMMEDIATELY who was to blame. If I had only remembered to make my tail a happy tail and run up stairs and stand next to Mack!

Note from Hu-mom: If you look at the area where the fringe meets the floor, you can see where Minnie left the baggies!  One of the baggies was hanging over the edge of the bowl.  She only ate two baggies full of cat food and was working on snagging the 3rd bag. I must have walked into the dining room while she was in the act! And the leaf was out of the table so things were a lot closer to the edge.

Is this a guilty look?  Hu-mom never knew I could reach up to the table top and steal. So now she has taken care of the problem.  The dog food is in a big plastic bin and the cat food is on top.  She also made sure the chairs were pushed ALL the way in!

Hmm, I wonder how I can get the cat food now?

Have a great week!
Love, Minnie : )

How do parents expect us to pass up food? Seriously! We would have been all over that food with you, Minnie.

CONGRATULATIONS MINNIE!! You did a super job of snagging the baggies.. OOOPS.. I mean of Chasing the Squirrels out of the house BEFORE they ate ALL the cat food. Your mom must be soooooo proud of you fur protecting the thingys.

Squirrels are SOOOOO sneaky. I think your mom has fixed thingys up so they can't do THAT again.

I hope your peeps have fun. I know they will be more relaxed now that they know MINNIE is on guard duty!!!

Oh...oh... big trouble over there. I wanna know where the cats are. Bugsy and Knuckles would have finished off that food before you even got to it.

Hey... hope you have time to stop by our Academy Award party today or tomorrow.

Have a great day.

pawhugs, Max

Hi Minnie! I'm guessing that the yelling was totally worth it! Be good while humom and hudad are gone so they don't worry. And tell Mack that I wish he could stay with me!
Love,
Payton
