A Walk in the Park

We had a puggle meetup at Herndon Dog Park today!  A few brave souls came out to the snow covered park.  The worst part was the parking lot which had not been plowed and the icy path to get into the park!  The weather was hovering just below or at freezing, so it was bearable. Hu-mom decided to NOT make me wear my snow boots. The snow as pretty packed at the park, so I did not have a problem with snow sticking to my feets! Thank goodness, I hate those boots.

I met a new puggle friend today.  Her name is Asia.  She's a petite puggle.  Our old friends Wendy, Cooper, Cody and a few other miscellaeous doggies were there, too.

Mack actually enjoyed his trip to the park.  He visited the hu-mans, sniffed a lot of butts, and oversaw the operation of the park.

As usual, I tried to get Wendy's tennis ball but, as usual, she was not into sharing at all!

Cody was also trying to get Wendy's tennis ball.  Still no luck.

We had been at the park for about 30 minutes, when all of a sudden there was a loud noise over in an adjacent parking garage.  It sounded like all hell was going to break loose. It freaked me out and all the fun stopped.  I started shivering and staring over at the noise. I'd had never heard a snow plow before so close. When they come down our street, I'm always in the house and the sound is muffled.

Hu-mom decided it was time to go.

Aw, mom, do we have to go?  Mack could have cared less about the cold or the loud noises.  He's usually the 1st one to be ready to go. Oh well, there's always next time!

We want to thank all of our Blogville friends that stopped by and sent good wishes for Hu-Grandmother. She's now been released from the hospital and in the Rehab center and hopes to be home in a week or two!!!  Thanks, thanks, thanks!

We also wanted to mention our friend Daisy of  http://toocutepugs.blogspot.com/.  She had a mystery lump on her leg that was removed.  They are waiting for results and keeping their paws crossed for good news.  Drop by her blog and give her some good vibes!  She is having a hard time wearing the lampshade!

Love,
Minnie :)

Would you believe that I just got back from the dog park this afternoon and then I check the internet to find that you did the same thing? Are we alike or what?
Anyway, while I was at the park a lady kept petting me and she also kept telling me to calm down and SHUSH so my mom got angry and told her, "Daisy is dog and she's going to bark at dog park!" I sure hope you 2 barked w/o fear of getting shushed at!

You're brave souls to go out in such cold, and the picture on your face when the snow plows came was priceless

Glad your grandma is out of the hospital. Hospitals are no place for sick people.
