If you click on the picture, you can see the tiny people standing on top. |
While in Las Vegas for hu-brother Josh's wedding, the humans took a side trip to Hoover Dam. They had toured the dam in 1985 but there is a new bridge that was recently completed and they also had some humans with them that weren't born in 1985. So off they went one afternoon before the wedding.
Hu-mom won't go into details here about the dam and the building of it, but if you are interested
Hu-mom came upon this lone plaque and it brought tears to her eyes.....(you might need to click on it to biggify it to read it. )
Even in the harsh conditions the workers endured to build the bridge, a stray was given love and attention! Love endures all....

Looking down at the workings of the dam.
We had fun with the humans being gone, but were really glad when they came home. We greeted them with out loudest voices about 10:30 last night and let the entire neighborhood know, too!~
Love,
Minnie :)

Hi Minnie,
This was a lovely post...
We are touched that the people who built this dam took the pains to immortalise that stray pup who died so tragically.
And Hey!You were right to let neighbours know how happy you were to see your humans after 231456754years! After all, happiness doubles when you share it, right?

I am sure that the neighbors really WANTED to know that your mom and dad were home safe and sound. That was sooooo thoughful of you to let them know the Joyous News!!!
Glad your Mom and Dad are home safe. Such a touching story about the stray dog. Someone should do a book on the contributions of dogs to American History.
Looks like your family had a great time. I'm glad they made it back safe and sound. Hope you all gave them a great welcome!
Muah,
Minnie Moo
Hey Minnie and Mack, I don't know if we stopped by before or not, but we love your blog! You two are the cutest. Looking forward to following your blog! :)
Love endures all....
Absolutely true - and so fitting considering the event your hu-mom and hu-dad attended!
We didn't have time to see the Hoover Dam the few times we've been to Vegas - but intend on stopping this summer! We will look for the plaque!
Glad your humans had a good time away, bet there were lots of cuddles when they got back. What a sad story about the dog, thankfully he was well loved and now remembered forever. Dex & Louis x
