Ferret & Parrot Visitors and Minnie's Adventure

This weekend our cousins, Tonks, Chandler Bing and Ripley, came to visit and spend a few days with us!  We LOVE it when they come over.    They came over in their "visiting" Grandma cages which are much smaller than the ones they have at home with Aunt Melissa and Aunt Dana.  Like I said before, we love them to visit.  Hu-mom puts chairs in front of the ferret cage so we can talk and visit with them.
Ripley, the African Gray Parrot, is a lot of fun to watch, too, but she has a VERY sharp beak and knows how to use it, so we don't get too close to her.  She also is very talkative and is fun to listen to.

Chandler Bing is  a lot bigger than Tonks.

Tonks is the little one.

Now for my overnight adventure. It all started last night.  We didn't go out for our evening walk until about 8:15 with our doggie friends Greta and Foxy.  It was finally a cooler evening and had a nice leisurely walk. We got back home about 9:15.  It was just now dark.  For some reason I always like to go out into our backyard after our evening walk.  I asked to go out last night, so hu-mom put me out.

Fast forward to this morning about 6:30AM.

Hu-mom was awakened by Mack barking out the front window. She commenced to  do her regular AM chores in the kitchen.  All of a sudden, there I was hopping around at the sliding glass doors in the breakfast room!  Hu-mom let out a shriek and realized that she never let me in last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To her amazement, I was really happy and gobbled down my breakfast and was very playful.  I forgave her!  I guess I need to learn to bark to come in like Mack does. It was also nice out last night, being in the low 70's and it didn't rain or thunder.  Hu-mom thought I wouldn't want to ever go back into the back yard again.  But she snapped this photo of me this morning wanting to play fetch with my mini tennis ball.

Note from hu-mom:  I am so sorry Minnie!  This will never happen again, I promise.  You are a brave girl to stay outside, by yourself, all night and not make a racket.  We have lots of neighborhood wildlife and I'm really surprised that Minnie did not bark once all night! It's almost 8AM and she has crashed on our bed for, what I believe, will be a very loooong morning nap!

The weather here has finally started to cool down, so Mack and I hope to  have some adventures!

Love,
Minnie  : )

I bet your visitors were interesting to watch and smell! My mom says she just loves the name Chandler Bing. So nice of you to forgive you hu-mom so quickly. At least make sure to get some extra treats out of this.
Love,
Payton
PS. To Minnie's hu-mom, don't feel bad. My Gammy once locked me in the laundry room accidentally for a while when she didn't realize that I was following her around.

Minnie - oh, you will be getting so many extra treats and attention now! Enjoy it! You might want to even get left outside more often - the making up might be worth a night outside :)

Oh, I'd love to watch those ferrets, too! I'd be watching them VERY closely!

Oh you poor dear!! You gotta speak up the next time. No WAY my rump would stay outside all night. I might cry 'cause I am a baby. Ha.
We just love your visitors. Can the African Grey imitate your bark?? That would be funny.
