Please vote!

Most of our Blogville friends know that we have a foster sister, Miss Daisy, the shiny, black pug.

Here's her picture:

We are a foster family for Mid-Atlantic Pug Rescue.  Let me tell you a little about this wonderful rescue organization.

We at Mid-Atlantic Pug Rescue, Inc. are a group of diverse individuals who have united for the purpose of rescuing Pugs. We come from many walks of life, and have agreed to donate our many and varied talents so that pugs everywhere can live out their lives with comfort, love and care.
We are all volunteers, with no paid employees. Each person serves in the way best suited to their lifestyle and individual skills.
We are proud of the way we have built this organization. We have determined that our common welfare and the welfare of the pug breed must come first. Our leaders are but trusted servants, in that they do not govern. There is no power structure, just a service structure.
The only requirement for membership is a desire to help homeless pugs and promote education about the breed and the need for domestic animal population control.
We allow, and strongly encourage participation in other groups, rescues, and shelters, as it is the best way to strengthen the rescue effort and make sure that our motto is upheld: "Let no pug go unloved."

Don't you just love their motto?  MAPR (Mid-Atlantic Pug Rescue) has a team of many wonderful volunteers that work hard to make sure every pug on the East Coast that is homeless, alone and unloved is rescued!  That's a really big area to cover. They just don't rescue only pugs, they also get puggles and any pug mix!

The Animal Rescue Site  is having  an Animal Rescue Site $300,000 Shelter+  Challenge of 2012. Would you please vote for MAPR?  Click here everyday to vote.   Don't think you will remember to vote everyday?? You can set yourself up a reminder and the site will email you each day!To vote for MAPR, you will need to  the choose the State of North Carolina, then the city of Waxhaw.  A list will come up and choose!  Now, if you have a favorite Rescue Organization, don't feel obligated to vote for MAPR.  But if you don't, we'd love your vote!

Mack, Miss Daisy and I thank you!!

Have a wonderful week,
Minnie : )
