Where Does the Time Go?

It seems that hu-mom is always busy and getting her to post another update to our blog is like pulling teeth!

Our weekend was exciting.  Mid-Atlantic Pug Rescue had a booth at the Super Pet Expo in Chantilly VA!  Hu-mom volunteered us pugs and puggies to work at the booth on Saturday.  So off we went, me, Mack and foster brother Mario.  It was really busy, we did a lot of socializing and meeting lots of strangers and doggies of every shape, size and color.  Of course, hu-mom forgot to take a lot of pictures so when we got home, we hardly had any at all.  The best news is that 2 great families are really interested in Mario!  We hope they will follow through and apply to adopt.  So let's take a quick look at what we did get pictures of:

Two brindle puggies meet! We've never seen brindle pugs before.

Below is our booth.  The kissing booth was VERY popular.  Mack did excellent work in the booth.  Even Mario gave out love.  I was a little scared, so I let the boys do it.  (That's Mack in the lower left hand corner of the photo.)

I'm not sure why hu-mom took this picture.  We were just waiting to greet folks outside the booth.

One of our friends waiting to hand out kisses!

It was a blast.  People visiting us at the booth sometimes had treats! and hu-mom said YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some folks said they had no idea that pugs needed a rescue organization.  Education was a big part of our job.  We can't wait to go back next year.

Mack and Mario stayed the entire 6 hours, but I was getting weary of all the commotion so I went home early with Joe and Tori.

Below is Mario pooped after along day, went to sleep immediately getting into the car. It takes a lot to tire him out!

Then on Sunday the grand kids came over for a visit.  Hu-mom mentioned our older costumes of Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse and the kiddos make us put them on.  After a while Mario took my costume and was Minnie Mouse for the rest of the time!  After the kiddos went home, we were exhausted.  They are a hard pair to keep up with.

Yesterday, as part of Mario's socialization education, hu-mom took him to the car dealer.  She was supposed to get a rental but Enterprise does not allow pets in their cars, so she and Mario waited and waited.
Below is Mario chill-axing at the dealership waiting room after a long walk and yummy fancy bottled water!  Hu-mom said he was an angel.
That's hard to believe.....

Last night, Joe set his plate down for 4 seconds and turned around. When he turned back, the top half of his hamburger was gone.  The only evidence was Mario, licking his chops and a piece of onion off the place and sitting on the edge of the table.  Hmmm, little angel?

Here's Mario playing upside down in a video.

That's it from Casa Cooper.  Hu-mom will be traveling next week to Ft Benning, GA.  Hu-brother, Josh, is graduating from Army Boot Camp!  It's been a quick 10 weeks.  She'll get to see him for a few hours for 2 days, then off to AIT (more training) for him. So we won't have a new blog until she returns.

Please send puggie juju to our friend Harley at http://sagiratherapydog.blogspot.com/  who isn't doing real well.

Love,  Minnie : )

OMD, what a day at the expo! I have only recently seen a pug with brindle furs as well. So interesting. Mom wants one (of course, sigh). Congrats to Josh! Nice to see Mario playing and wearing his belly band like a good boy. Our cousin Bosco does NOT like his at all.

Darn, I thought about driving to Chantilly with Nitro but I didn't want to go alone. If I knew you two and your mommy was going to be there I probably would have gone. It looks like you all had a great time! We have our PetExpo at the end of April and Nitro is in private training for his demonstration. We can't wait to show everyone how Deaf Dogs Rock!

I love that your family is fostering Mario and that he is getting a lot of socialization too!
How wonderful that your human took the time to educate the public that pugs need rescuing too!
Love the pics of you two in your Minnie & Mickey Mouse costumes but I have a feeling you didn't want to wear them at all!
