Mario Graduates

Mario was in the middle of his Petsmart beginner class when I had my knee surgery.  Hu-siblings were kind enough to take Mario to his classes while I was unable to.  The class was small, usually 3 or 4 doggies attending. Mario did really well and passed with flying colors!  Maybe he'll go on to the next level this fall.

His training is coming along. He has learned some less agreeable traits from Minnie and Mack! Like barking at things that go by the front windows. Barking at people coming to the front door, etc.  We are using compressed air to thwart the barking and it works well for Minnie and Mario.  Mack is his own Man and does what ever he wants too.

Mario is still a compulsive eater.  Lately he has eaten an entire pack of gum after removing it from hu-sis's purse that was up on a table in the foyer.....we called the Animal Poison Control Center and he was lucky he ate the brand he did, no problems. He somehow got into Grandmother's room and cleaned her out including 1/2 bag (about 5oz) of Dove dark chocolate squares wrapped in foil, bowl full of cat food and peanut butter and cheese crackers!  He has also taken food from counters and tables.  Being lightening quick makes him a real threat!  He has been so lucky that everything he has eaten has not make him sick!

While I was out of commission and not able to take them to the dog park or on walks, Mario gained a lot of weight.  Minnie and Mack did not.  Go figure!

Mario is still looking for his forever home and we pray that his perfect family will find him!

Its that Xylitol in sugar free gum that kills dogs...so make sure no one in your home ever buys that gum whilest Mario is still a foster. May he get a home real soon as he looks to be a sweet, if a bit mischevious pup. :)
Much Love,

My mom wishes there was classes arund here for us, but we live so far in the boonies that we have to drive 2 hours to a petsmart. So we are not very good in that department. I can't believe Mario you got into all that food, and never got sick...your stomach must be lined with titamum! Oh man...Mario you have certainly been busy eating! Good golly, you must really be fast. Mom must have eyes in the back of her head because I never get away with stealing food. Boo. Congrats on your PetSmart training! Glad your Mom's knee is coming along.
